  • Dropbox: You can enter a single folder name (and if you are time stamping archives that folder name will be appended with your server’s current date).
  • S3: You can enter a single bucket name, which will always get appended with a unique string of characters to make sure that the bucket’s name doesn’t conflict with any other buckets on S3. And just like Dropbox the bucket name will also be appended with time stamps if desired.
  • FTP: You can enter (absolute or relative) paths.

I’ve used WP Time Machine before, it’s pretty good :) Unfortunately it only works for WordPress, so we created a service that lets you backup anything from an FTP server to Dropbox, including database files. So with our service you can automatically back up 10 WordPress sites at once instead of having to install this plug for each one. Check it out at http://mybackbox.com

Hello, I am currently using a WP to DropBox backup option but am interested in this one because of the time-stamped sub-directories option. I have a couple of questions:

Can you set how many days to create the sub-directories for, or is there a default limit? Or does it just keep creating archival sub-directories “forever”?

Also, can you tell this plugin to auto backup on a schedule? Daily at 3am, for example?
