Google Pagerank Update Of 2011

| January 24, 2011 | 4 Comments

Google updated its PageRank values of many websites within the Google Toolbar. This is the first toolbar PR update of the year 2011, the first one in almost 9 months. There have been some minor updates, where some websites have seen their PageRank change during 2010, but the last major pagerank update is in April 2010. Now after 9 months of long gap, now again the update has been initiated.google pagerank update Google Pagerank Update Of 2011

But the surprising thing is most of the webmasters are not aware of the PR factor, it is not at all valuable for your website anymore..It is an outdated algorithm, even Google wants to get rid of it. But still most of the webmasters feels it as a honor badge for their website. But this PR doesn’t effect any SEO rankings.

Reportedly this pagerank update has been observed on many websites, but this is not a major update, this is just a minor update, may all of the websites are not covered in this update.

Let me know whether your website is effected with the Pagerank update or not in the comments section below.

I have my website http://www.theinfostrides.com/ pagerank updated in July 2011 from 1 to 3. Down-ranked to 2 in late July and re-ranked to 3 in August 2011. Quite amazing!

I really hope Google will keep the PR update frequency. It is good for all, site owners have more ideas about how they should develop their sites and advertisers know which site will be suitable and credible enough for them. Do you have the same opinions with me?
