Failed to Write File To Disk Error While Uploading Images in WordPress
If you are using WordPress blog with Shared Hosting, then you may experience “Failed to write file to Disk” Error while uploading images. And I know there is no solution on even Google or any Search engine. And don’t worry this is not your fault or
any miss configuration. This purely 100% server side issue. It is completely the problem of your hosting Service. All you have to do is just contact your customer support and tell them to clear the unnecessary files from the Server partition. And just try again to upload your image.
What is the reason for “Failed to write file to disk” error :
This error occurs because of full partition in the Server and also if the temporary folder is full. At this time when you try to upload the image it gives the error “Failed to write file to disk” . Because wordpress not able to access the Temporary folder because it is Full and cannot upload the image through it.
But still you can directly upload your images through FTP to the wp-content/uploads/2010/…. Folder. And directly give the URL of the image in the URL section and the things will done.
For the permanent resolution contact your customer care to free the Temp folder in the Server. This will definitely resolve the issue without any doubt. But never think that it is the problem of yours and don’t change anything .Its completely server side issue.Hosting Service people will take care of that.
