How To Install WordPress in my Web Hosting Space or Server

WordPress 3.0 is the latest and most powerful Open Source Application which is used in Blogging Platform. WordPress is very famous by its huge support of Plugins and features.So here this article is for the beginners to install their WordPress in their hosting space.wortdpress installation1 How To Install Wordpress in my Web Hosting Space or ServerLots of hosting companies offer one click installation,but in case if your Hosting service doesn’t support the One click installation you can simply do the following steps to install your wordpress for your Blog.

WordPress installation process is pretty simple and easy to understand,butbe careful before doing anything in the future after the installation,try to maintain a Back Up of all the settings and Databases,or else you gonna have a big problem in case of anything goes wrong.So please always keep a copy of Back up before going to edit or change something.

Steps for WordPress 3.0 Application Installation Process  :

For Wrodrpess installation follow these bellow steps….

  1. First you must have a Hosting account,if you already have, then its good,Remember it must support MY SQL and PHP.
  2. Now Login in to your Control Panel and create a FTP account for database uploading.
  3. And also go to My SQL Database > create a new database and also create a User for that database,remember that user must have Database Administrative privileges (DBA) .Note down the Database Name,Database user,Database Password,And also the Database Host URL.
  4. Now almost you are ready start the WordPress installation,so now start configuring the WordPress configuration part.
  5. First Download WordPress 3.0 from WordPress.org and extract all the files and Folders to one any drive or Desktop.
  6. Now open the folder and you will find a PHP file called  wp-config-sample ,just rename that file as wp-config and now open that file.
  7. You will see something like in the bellow image,Just change the bellow Lines which are stated as YOUR DATABASE NAME,DATABASE USERNAME,DATABASE USER PASSWORD,DATABASE HOST URL.Wordpress wp config settings How To Install Wordpress in my Web Hosting Space or Server
  8. In the DB_NAME section give your Database name without any spelling mistakes.And also your database username and password in the specified sections,after that give your Database host URL,most of the time it will be like localhost,but if your hosting provider specifically giving a URL then you must use that one only.
  9. After editing all these configurations Save the file,if you still not rename it as wp-config then do it now.
  10. Now use any FTP client like Filezilla ,and login in to your FTP account,and start Uploading all the files,Remember if want to install your blog in root directory like mine http://solvater.com,directly select all the files without selecting the entire wordpress folder.If you want to create your blog in some other URL like  http://solvater.com/blog,then you have to create a directory called blog in your root directory and upload all wordpress files in it.
  11. After completion of the files,Open your Browser and type your URL,if everything is as I said you will see a Page asking for for Website Title,New Username and Passowrd.After giving all the credentials now you can see your website in twenty ten theme.
  12. Now start customizing and editing your Website with lots Plugins and Options.
